The annual migration of northbound snow geese inspired my sculpture Northbound. Moving toward ancestral breeding grounds in arctic Canada, snow goose flocks winging their way across the midwest reminds us of the vast plains just outside of Chicago. I wanted to remind the viewer of nature’s annual migration and place it on our city’s sidewalks.
